Open the Extra Content menu, select Not a Hero, and choose Easy difficulty.Īfter the intro cutscene ends, you'll find yourself in the Salt Mines from the base game. Now that you've got the general information, let's begin the DLC and go after Lucas Baker. Refer back to this walkthrough if you have any other questions regarding the rewards in Not a Hero. You can't just pause the game and view the rewards like you can in the other DLC's. Lastly, the end-game rewards and their unlock conditions are not listed in the menus at all. You can check your time by viewing the Stats screen (which can obviously be found within the pause menu).

And just so you're aware, you can pause the game at any time without running up the clock, so feel free to pause the game whilst using this walkthrough. Even though the idea for the first playthrough is to beat it in an hour or less, it won't take very long to gather all of the coins while you're running. Same as before, I'll point them out as we go along. To unlock this, you need to find all of the Antique Coins in the DLC. You will be doing a good bit of running, so it's definitely a useful thing to have at your disposal.

It won't drastically change your Professional playthrough, but every little bit helps. This perk grants you the ability to move quickly while walking. There's another useful (but somewhat less important) perk called " Fast Walk." You've seen this perk before (remember the Walking Shoes?). Finishing the DLC in under an hour to unlock this perk isn't all that difficult.
It can be tricky getting the timing down, so Easy Deflect will make your life A LOT easier by creating a larger window to block and stagger your opponents. Don't fight like a dairy farmer! What you need to do is hit the trusty block button ( ), and block the enemy's attack just barely before it connects with you to stagger them, which likely guarantees you an ammo-free kill when you get the prompt to hit, which performs a follow up and punches them in the face. Sure, you could stagger them by slashing or shooting at them, but that's not very efficient. However, you can only punch enemies when they are staggered. On the subject of said end-game rewards, you'll want to complete the first playthrough in under an hour to unlock a bonus perk item known as " Easy Deflect." I'll explain punching enemies in the face is a good way to kill them, and it conserves ammo.
Professional mode ups the ante (more on that later), so we'll be relying on some end-game rewards just like we did in the base game to make life easier. There are only two achievements, one for completing the DLC on Easy or Normal, and one for completing it on Professional. It should take you about two playthroughs to knock this DLC out. I'll list those in detail as we come to them. There are a few things that are different this time around (for example, you have access to grenades, and there's the aforementioned punching of mold).
This DLC plays identically to the main campaign of Resi VII (regarding the controls). Why punch mold? Because this is Chris we're talking about, that's why. Along the way you'll fight Molded, solve some simple puzzles, and punch mold. You'll be taking control of Chris Redfield, guiding him in his quest to capture the elusive Lucas Baker.
